Production: Main Project (Canon)

 27.2.23

During the week, I took photos of the Winter Gardens as well as Penshaw Monument using my phone's camera. I arrived at each location via my dad's car, I only had a short period of time to take my photos due to my dad's work schedule. I used wide shots for my photos and worked within the rule of third, The photo was taken from a low angle as I could include the entire monument from ground level. My idea is to use the Winter gardens Photos for my Magazine cover and use my Penshaw Monument photos for my poster. I took excess photos from different angles to have different options during the post production process. I cropped the original image so that they would match the dimensions of my poster and magazine. The image bellow of Penshaw Monument was taken from ground level and across the street and therefore lampposts and people can be seen, in order to create my posters I am planning to crop the lampposts out of the image.

I took photos of the colleges DSLR cameras in the studio, I could find a black background for the camera so I used a white/translucent background instead as it was available. I have also started to edit my photos in photoshop in order to create my poster and magazine covers.

These are other photos from the same shoot including different composition of the shots, in future projects I will take more behind the scenes photos showing the cast and equipment used as well as location and process of production. I used my equipment effectively however I will try to use more professional equipment like cameras and tripods in order to achieve higher quality images and composition, I will also take photos with varied shot types such as canted angle and mid shots.
I had planned to shoot earlier in the week, however the weather was undesirable so I had to take my photos later in the week. I tried to follow my week schedule that I had made, so that I could be organized and understand what I'm doing and at what time.
