Interpreting the Brief (Health)

My client is the NHS, who aim to create an appealing and inspirational media campaign focusing on the ages of 16-20. The campaign must include a positive message about change weather that be quitting smoking, eating healthier or becoming more physically active. My product must be either a TV advert, Radio advert and a Print product such as a leaflet or poster. For my product I am thinking of creating a radio advert and a poster which encourages healthy eating and physical exercise. I will take inspiration from the better health campaign as it is the most recent NHS campaign and serves as a good template to what I want to create for my print product.

The NHS's purpose is to prevent health issues in everyday citizens, which is why they invest in large multimedia marketing campaigns like "Better Health" and "Change4Life" in order to prevent rising obesity rates in children and older individuals. The NHS use children as their main demographic to prevent health issues from an earlier age and to reduce future appointments. Change4Life was a previous campaign by the NHS, the campaign was targeted towards young children from the ages of 5 to 11 and the objective was to reduce rates of childhood obesity and encourage children to be more physically active. The "Better Health" campaign is targeted towards older people from 30 to 60 to encourage them to be more physically active and prevent late cases of health issues.

For my products, I want to create a poster which catches the viewers' attention, to do this I am going to include bright, bold colors as well as a motivational and inspiring message to encourage young adults to improve their lifestyle and highlight the benefits of healthy eating and physical activity. I want to include someone who represent the audience and can be seen as relatable. For my radio advert I am going to portray a story of someone becoming healthier and more active using Foley and sound effects to create a transition between the inside to the outside.

I could experience difficulties with my radio advert as I am unfamiliar with the software I am using; this is also my first time working with audio as appose to video or design.
